Nanoenvirology Research Group
Welcome to Nanoenvirology Research Group (NRG) at North Dakota State University (NDSU). Our research focuses on studying nanomaterials, finding new applications for nanomaterials, and understanding their impacts on the ecosystem components. The educational goal of our group is to create research manpower to address the global grand challenges. NRG conducts nanotechnology research and teaching in Environmental Engineering Lab (CIE 214), Nano Impact Lab (Elhy 106), and Environmental Engineering Teaching Labs (AGHill 310-314). Our major research grants are from NSF, USDA-NIFA, and USGS.
The NRG is headed by Achintya Bezbaruah. He is currently an Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at NDSU. He received his Ph.D. (2002) in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Prior to joining NDSU in 2005, he worked on groundwater remediation and modeling at URS Corp (now AECOM) at Omaha, NE. Since joining NDSU, he has established a new research track on environmental nanotechnology.
